Description
This knife is a typical knife from Sicily in the mid-nineteenth century and it is known as Rasolino because the blade looks like a razor. We find traces of remarkably large Rasolino knives, about 25 cm in size, in ancient models with a simple spring mechanism and an ox horn handle decorated with carvings and grooves. Once the Giolitti Law was passed in 1908, that forbade the knives with a pointed blade, it is supposed that this knife was one of the few models that were allowed. Rasolino is appreciated for its cutting skills, and Coltelleria Saladini has fitted this knife with a section on the handle to cut the Tuscan cigars (in Rasolino cigar cutter version).
